Tutor Qualifications

Our educational partners select instructors who demonstrate a strong pedagogical drive and clear communication skills to ensure high-quality global class environments.

  • Bachelor's degree or higher (highly preferred)
  • TEFL / TESOL / CELTA certification (minimum 120 hours preferred)
  • Prior experience in online ESL delivery or structured on-site teaching

Technical Specifications

Tutors must maintain a stable home teaching station capable of runing low-latency video streaming platforms without network drops.

  • Modern desktop or laptop (Intel Core i5 equivalent or higher, min 8GB RAM)
  • Stable broadband internet connection (min 20 Mbps, Ethernet connection required)
  • Noise-canceling USB headset and external HD webcam set up in a quiet workspace

Scheduling Guidelines

To maximize bookings, teaching slots align with student peak demand hours in the Beijing time zone. Tutors manage booking availability via pre-planned calendars.

  • Minimum commitment of 15 open teaching hours per week during peak periods
  • Weekdays (Mon-Fri) Peak Hours: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM (BJS Time)
  • Weekends (Sat-Sun) Peak Hours: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM (BJS Time)
